A little stressfully ... but it's okay.

On German TV you could watch "behind the red door only on pay tv a long while ago. But anyone record it and sent my a copy. But I like more the original (English) version. Around here it's usual to sync the movies. I know from some dutch DVD's, which I got, what you get the original version with subtitles. And I know this way also of other countries. I would wish me this at the meantime too, but I'm sure, our audience wouldn't prefer this.

"behind the red door" is full of fantastic quotes, as well as by Roy and the other characters. Also in sad situation you can smile about the one other quote... if for example Natalie put out the ashes of Roy and said "Sorry Roy, Gucci doesn't make plastic bags. I checked.
Also I watched the film already many times and never without tears. At late on the scene where Roy said, 'I stop the medication'... I'm powerless.
From the acting a wonderful movie, only technical not quite error-free. Some camera settings are not very well. But I can see over this. The movie, the story and the acting (on account of the honesty not only from Kiefer!) are great enough for forget that.

I think the German audience just isn't used to watching original versions but I'm sure once they get more they will like it more too.

I loved that quote! Yeah Kyra acted really naturally too. I love the birthday scene :)
I think every movie has a few flaws but it's the way it deals with those flaws that decides if it's a strong movie or not.

If I would count every quotes which I like, I could nearly list the whole script of BTRD.

I don't believe, the German audience would like to watch movies with have to read subtitles 'cause they habitually get sync versions. I have my doubts, them would change their habits.

Came just in my mind: Has to be funny, to watch on this way a Japanese movie in original version. You really would do this?

Exactly, the scriptwriters did a good job :)

Yeah, it's weird how Germany is one of the only countries to synchronize everything. Together with France I think.

I love Japanese movies, so yeah I sometimes watch those with dutch or english subtitles ;) It takes some time getting used to though.

I don't know, that so few countries use sync film versions.
If I'm earnest, firstly I know to to appreciate to get to see (or better hear) the original versions of the Kiefer movies. And also some other (Kiefer free) English movies I watched already. But if I would really watch a Japanese film .... ? I don't know.

Yeah, most of them just get the original movies with subtitles.
Haha, yeah I bet you appreciate it much more to hear his voice :)
Japanese is a beautiful language and with the original versions with subtitles I can listen to it and still understand what they say so that's cool.
